According to United Nations population statistics 2017, the world population is 7.6 billion and is growing rapidily alomost 11 billion by end of 21 century with a 70% chance of continued growth, this rapid increasing population have created low standards of living in cities. Smart Cities are facing pressures associated with due innovations and globalization to improve their citizens life. Computational intelligence is the study of adaptive mechanism to facilitate intelligent behavior in changing and complex environments. Traffic congestion and monitoring has become one of the critical issues in big cities. The adaptive mechanism of computational intelligence in changing the behavior of complex environments of smart city is very effective. The developing framework and services for smart-city requires sound infrastructure, latest current technology adoption. A framework model with the integration of cloud-data, social network (SN) services that is collecting stream data with smart sensors in the context of smart cities is proposed. The adaptive mechanism of computational intelligence in changing thebehavior of complex environments of smart city is very effective. A radical framework that enables the analysis of big-data sets stemming from Social Networking (SN) sites. Smart cities understanding is a broad concept only city transportation sector is focused in this article. Fuzzy logic modeling techniques are used in many fields i.e. medical, engineering. business and computing related problems. To solve various traffic management issues in cities a detailed analysis of fuzzy logic system is proposed. This paper presents an analysis of the results achieved using Fuzzy Logic System (FLS) for smart cities. The results are verified using MATLAB Simulation

This study provides a realistic examination of link between economic growth, information technology and its elements with particular attention on the stock market advancement in Pakistan.  Our results recommend a positive connection between well-organized stock market and economic growth equally in long run and short run. In financial theory globalization information technology would affect the increase economic development. This study investigates the influence of globalization and economic advancement on income disparity in Pakistan. In this study, we used the annual time series data and also used autoregressive distributed lag model (ARDL) econometric technique. We collected this data 1973 to 2014 from state bank of Pakistan and international financial statistics. From this study, it is decided that, globalization information technology has substantial effect on income parity; the economic growth rate is also achieving the income equality. In the policy outlook trade openness, foreign payment, foreign direct investment, may contribute in reducing inequality, the key variables used in this study are like savings, inflation, and exchange rate, gross domestic product, investment. This implies that, if this country wants to increase the economic growth, then to formulate and strictly implement some particular policies that facilitate investment in ICT

A Secure Healthcare 5.0 System Based on Blockchain Technology Entangled with Federated Learning Technique

In recent years, the global Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) industry has evolved at a tremendous speed. Security and privacy are key concerns on the IoMT, owing to the huge scale and deployment of IoMT networks. Machine learning (ML) and blockchain (BC) technologies have significantly enhanced the capabilities and facilities of healthcare 5.0, spawning a new area known as "Smart Healthcare." By identifying concerns early, a smart healthcare system can help avoid long-term damage. This will enhance the quality of life for patients while reducing their stress and healthcare costs. The IoMT enables a range of functionalities in the field of information technology, one of which is smart and interactive health care. However, combining medical data into a single storage location to train a powerful machine learning model raises concerns about privacy, ownership, and compliance with greater concentration. Federated learning (FL) overcomes the preceding difficulties by utilizing a centralized aggregate server to disseminate a global learning model. Simultaneously, the local participant keeps control of patient information, assuring data confidentiality and security. This article conducts a comprehensive analysis of the findings on blockchain technology entangled with federated learning in healthcare. 5.0. The purpose of this study is to construct a secure health monitoring system in healthcare 5.0 by utilizing a blockchain technology and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to detect any malicious activity in a healthcare network and enables physicians to monitor patients through medical sensors and take necessary measures periodically by predicting diseases.Comment: 20 pages, 6 tables, 3 figure

Comparison of Features of Corona Virus in Confirmed and Unconfirmed Patients In Lahore

Introduction: Coronavirus has spread rapidly in Pakistan. These patients were kept at quarantine facilities on suspicion, even before RT-PCR was done. We were able to collect clinical, laboratory, and management features from them.  Objective: To assess the features of Corona confirmed and unconfirmed patients, and compare them. It could help in deciding if confirmed and unconfirmed patients were correctly identified and managed appropriately. Material and Methods: Retrospective, Descriptive, Crossectional study between 8th April to 30th April 2020. Patient data was collected from different sites retrospectively, on a Performa. Clinical, Laboratory, and Management data as collected. It was analyzed on SPSS 23. All patients in quarantines and ICU were included, irrespective of their corona PCR status, if the treating physicians had a strong suspicion. Home quarantine and less than 15-year old patients were excluded. Results: Clinical features showed more preponderance for males and smokers. Chronic disease patients were also significantly involved. Fatigue, nasal congestion, runny nose, sickness, and vomiting were more common in confirmed patients. CURB 65 scores 3 and 4 were more in unconfirmed patients. CT involvement was more common in unconfirmed patients as was high white cells and neutrophils. More patients had mechanical ventilation in the unconfirmed group, and they also had more secondary infections and shock. Antibiotic use was more common in the confirmed group. Conclusion: Corona was more common in males and smokers. Though fever and cough were common, the presence of fatigue, runny nose, nasal congestion sickness, and vomiting discriminated confirmed patients. Antibiotics should be used irrespective of RT-PCR results, especially if CT showed an abnormality. &nbsp

Vertical Pod Autoscaling in Kubernetes for Elastic Container Collaborative Framework

    Get PDF
Kubernetes is an open-source container management tool that automates container deployment, container load balancing, and container(de)scaling, including Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA), Vertical Pod Autoscaler (VPA). HPA enables flawless operation, interactively scaling the number of resource units, or pods, without downtime. Default Resource Metrics, such as CPU and memory use of host machines and pods, are monitored by Kubernetes. Cloud Computing has emerged as a platform for individuals besides the corporate sector. It provides cost-effective infrastructure, platform, and software services in a shared environment. On the other hand, the emergence of industry 4.0 brought new challenges for the adaptability and infusion of cloud computing. As the global work environment is adapting constituents of industry 4.0 in terms of robotics, artificial intelligence, and IoT devices, it is becoming eminent that one emerging challenge is collaborative schematics. Provision of such autonomous mechanism that can develop, manage and operationalize digital resources like CoBots to perform tasks in a distributed and collaborative cloud environment for optimized utilization of resources, ensuring schedule completion. Collaborative schematics are also linked with Bigdata management produced by large-scale industry 4.0 setups. Different use cases and simulation results showed a significant improvement in Pod CPU utilization, latency, and throughput over Kubernetes environment

Bioactivity of lufenuron against Tribolium castaneum (Herbst) (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)

    Get PDF
Red flour beetle, Tribolium castaneum is a serious pest of stored grain commodities. A laboratory study was conducted for evaluating the sub-lethal effects of a chitin synthesis inhibitor, lufenuron at concentrations of 0.02, 0.04 and 0.08 ppm against two strains of T. castaneum. Lufenuron caused significant effects on larval mortality, larval duration before pupae, larval weight, pupae and adult emergence. When these adults were allowed to oviposit on untreated wheat flour, their fecundity and egg hatchability was reduced to a larger extent at all the tested concentrations as compared to control treatment. Further, subsequent development of F1 larvae, pupae and adults were also severely prohibited. Our findings show that lufenuron can be a potential product for pest management in mills, warehouses and food storage facilities
